Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse TM16J Polyclonal Antibody | anti-TM16J antibody
TM16J Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
WB: 1:500-1:2000
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(MBS9600236 staining MCF-7 cells by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) antibody, diluted at 1/600, was used as secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9600236 at 1/100 staining human colon tissue sections by IHC-P. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of extracts from mouse brain, using TM16J Antibody. Lane 1 was treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of TM16J Antibody expression in Hela cells lysates. The lane on the right is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Function: Has calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity; scrambles phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and galactosylceramide (By similarity). Does not exhibit calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. Can inhibit the activity of ANO1.
Similarity: Belongs to the anoctamin family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 91 kDa
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TMEM16 (anoctamin) family of proteins, some of which form integral membrane calcium-activated chloride channels. The function of the encoded protein has yet to be elucidated, although it may have channel-forming abilities and also may have phospholipid scramblase activity. This gene has been observed to be upregulated in stage II and III colorectal cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Uniprot Description
Has calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity; scrambles phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and galactosylceramide (). Does not exhibit calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. Can inhibit the activity of ANO1.

Product Notes
The TM16J ano9 (Catalog #AAA9600236) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TM16J Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TM16J can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500 WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TM16J ano9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TM16J, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
