Related Product Information for anti-TIMM50 antibody
Essential component of the TIM23 complex, a complex that mediates the translocation of transit peptide-containing proteins across the mitochondrial inner membrane. Has some phosphatase activity in vitro; however such activity may not be relevant in vivo. Isoform 2 may participate in the release of snRNPs and SMN from the Cajal body.

Uniprot Description

TIMM50: Essential component of the TIM23 complex, a complex that mediates the translocation of transit peptide-containing proteins across the mitochondrial inner membrane. Has some phosphatase activity in vitro; however such activity may not be relevant in vivo. Isoform 2 may participate in the release of snRNPs and SMN from the Cajal body. Belongs to the TIM50 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Mitochondrial; Protein phosphatase, dual-specificity

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; mitochondrion; mitochondrial inner membrane; integral to membrane; nuclear speck; mitochondrial inner membrane presequence translocase complex

Molecular Function: ribonucleoprotein binding; protein binding; RNA binding; interleukin-2 receptor binding; protein tyrosine phosphatase activity; protein serine/threonine phosphatase activity; phosphoprotein phosphatase activity

Product Notes

The TIMM50 timm50 (Catalog #AAA9212488) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 74-104. The TIMM50 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TIMM50 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TIMM50 timm50 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TIMM50, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
