Rabbit anti-Human TECPR1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-TECPR1 antibody
TECPR1, CT (Tectonin beta-propeller Repeat-containing Protein 1, KIAA1358) (AP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of TECPR1 Antibody (C-term) in mouse brain tissue lysates (35ug/lane). TECPR1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain reacted with TECPR1 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a tethering factor involved in autophagy. The encoded protein is found at autolysosomes, and is involved in targeting protein aggregates, damaged mitochondria, and bacterial pathogens for autophagy [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2012]
Uniprot Description
TECPR1: Tethering factor involved in autophagy. Involved in autophagosome maturation by promoting the autophagosome fusion with lysosomes: acts by associating with both the ATG5-ATG12 conjugate and phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PtdIns(3)P) present at the surface of autophagosomes. Also involved in selective autophagy against bacterial pathogens, by being required for phagophore/preautophagosomal structure biogenesis and maturation. Interacts with ATG5; the interaction is direct. Interacts with WIPI2. Interacts with the ATG5-ATG12 conjugate, the interaction is however mutually exclusive with ATG16, since it does not interact with ATG12-ATG5-ATG16 complex. Belongs to the TECPR1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
