Uniprot Description

TNKS2: Poly-ADP-ribosyltransferase involved in various processes such as Wnt signaling pathway, telomere length and vesicle trafficking. Acts as an activator of the Wnt signaling pathway by mediating poly-ADP-ribosylation of AXIN1 and AXIN2, 2 key components of the beta-catenin destruction complex: poly-ADP- ribosylated target proteins are recognized by RNF146, which mediates their ubiquitination and subsequent degradation. Also mediates poly-ADP-ribosylation of BLZF1 and CASC3, followed by recruitment of RNF146 and subsequent ubiquitination. Mediates poly-ADP-ribosylation of TERF1, thereby contributing to the regulation of telomere length. May also regulate vesicle trafficking and modulate the subcellular distribution of SLC2A4/GLUT4-vesicles.

Protein type: EC 2.4.2.30; Nuclear envelope; Transferase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q23.32

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytosol; nuclear chromosome, telomeric region; nuclear envelope; nucleus; pericentriolar material; perinuclear region of cytoplasm

Product Notes

The TNKS2 tnks2 (Catalog #AAA2069306) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The APC/CY7-Linked Polyclonal Antibody to Tankyrase 2 (TNKS2) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tankyrase 2 (TNKS2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, ELISA (ELISA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNKS2 tnks2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tankyrase 2 (TNKS2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
