NCBI Description

This gene encodes a phosphoinositide phosphatase that regulates levels of membrane phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate. As such, expression of this enzyme may affect synaptic transmission and membrane trafficking. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

Product Notes

The SYNJ1 synj1 (Catalog #AAA9612325) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Synaptojanin Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Synaptojanin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IF: 1:100-1:500 ICC: 1:100-1:500 IHC: 1:50-1:200 ELISA(peptide): 1:20,000-1:40,000 IMPORTANT: For western blots, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% w/v milk, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween®20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SYNJ1 synj1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Synaptojanin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
