Related Product Information for anti-SFTPD antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Pulmonary surfactant-associated protein D(SFTPD) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P, ELISA in Human; Rat.

Background: Surfactant, pulmonary-associated protein D, also known as SFTPD or SP-D, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the SFTPD gene. It is mapped to 10q22.2-q23.1. The protein encoded by this gene is part of the innate immune response, protecting the lungs against inhaled microorganisms and chemicals. The encoded protein may also be involved in surfactant metabolism.

Product Notes

The SFTPD sftpd (Catalog #AAA178061) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Surfactant protein D Antibody reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Surfactant protein D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, ELISA (EIA). ELISA Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Western Blot Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin Concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SFTPD sftpd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Surfactant protein D, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
