Recombinant SPD (Ala21~Phe375 linked with AEMKTYSPEF) expressed in E.coli ( MBS2011246 )
Preparation and Storage
Storage:
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 24 months.

Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is part of the innate immune response, protecting the lungs against inhaled microorganisms and chemicals. The encoded protein may also be involved in surfactant metabolism. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2015]

Uniprot Description

SFTPD: Contributes to the lung's defense against inhaled microorganisms. May participate in the extracellular reorganization or turnover of pulmonary surfactant. Binds strongly maltose residues and to a lesser extent other alpha-glucosyl moieties. Belongs to the SFTPD family.

Product Notes

The SPD sftpd (Catalog #AAA2003952) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Surfactant Associated Protein D (SPD) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Surfactant Associated Protein D (SPD) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) - Formalin/Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). . Western blotting: 0.5-2ug/mL Immunohistochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Immunocytochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SPD sftpd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Surfactant Associated Protein D (SPD), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
