Related Product Information for anti-ST3GAL2 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a type II membrane protein that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to galactose-containing substrates. The encoded protein is normally found in the Golgi but can be proteolytically processed to a soluble form. This protein, which is a member of glycosyltransferase family 29, can use the same acceptor substrates as does sialyltransferase 4A. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

ST3GAL2: It may be responsible for the synthesis of the sequence NeuAc-alpha-2,3-Gal-beta-1,3-GalNAc- found in terminal carbohydrate groups of certain glycoproteins, oligosaccharides and glycolipids. SIAT4A and SIAT4B sialylate the same acceptor substrates but exhibit different Km values. Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 29 family.

Product Notes

The ST3GAL2 st3gal2 (Catalog #AAA9400926) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ST3GAL2 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ST3GAL2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:500-1:3000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:250. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ST3GAL2 st3gal2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ST3GAL2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
