Related Product Information for anti-Ppp1r9b antibody
Spinophilin/Neurabin-II has been found to be enriched at the postsynaptic density fraction in the brain and in the adherens junction fraction in rat liver. Within the brain, Spinophilin/Neurabin-II is localized in the heads of dendritic spines. Spinophilin/Neurabin-II contains a single PDZ domain in the middle region of the protein and other domains that predict it will form a coiled-coil structure at the C-terminus. Spinophilin/Neurabin-II is known to complex with the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase I (PP1) and in vitro is a potent modulator of PP1 enzymatic activity. Spinophilin/Neurabin-II is also known to interact with F-actin and rat lin-10.

NCBI Description

interacts with protein phosphatase 1 and actin filaments; involved in regulation of synaptic transmission [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

Spinophilin: actin-binding regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). The actin-binding domain of spinophilin is necessary and sufficient for targeting of spinophilin to dendrites and dendritic spines. May play a role in establishing a signaling complex for dopaminergic neurotransmission through D2 receptors by linking receptors downstream signaling molecules and the actin cytoskeleton. Interacts with p14-ARF. Contains one PDZ/DHR domain.

Protein type: Protein phosphatase, regulatory subunit; Adaptor/scaffold

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cortical actin cytoskeleton; adherens junction; lamellipodium; cytoplasm; dendritic spine; plasma membrane; synapse; intracellular; filopodium

Molecular Function: protein binding; actin binding; protein phosphatase 1 binding

Biological Process: regulation of synaptic transmission; cell migration; regulation of protein amino acid phosphorylation; filopodium formation; dendrite development; calcium-mediated signaling; actin filament organization; negative regulation of cell growth; regulation of cell proliferation

Product Notes

The Ppp1r9b ppp1r9b (Catalog #AAA6500499) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Spinophilin (Neurabin-II) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Spinophilin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ppp1r9b ppp1r9b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Spinophilin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
