This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human SPANX proteins. The immunogen sequence is present within SPANX-A, SPANX-B, SPANX-C, SPANX-D and SPANX-N, but not present within SPANX-E. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with SPANX proteins from gorilla and chimpanzee. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Application Notes
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and by western blot. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 15-20 kDa in size corresponding to SPANX family members by western blotting in the appropriate human tissue. Most human cell lines are SPANX negative.
Immunogen
This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 31-47 of human SPANX-C protein.
Preparation and Storage
This product is stable for several weeks at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
