Related Product Information for anti-SNTG2 antibody
This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against SNTG2. It was validated on Western Blot

Target Description: This gene encodes a protein belonging to the syntrophin family. Syntrophins are cytoplasmic peripheral membrane proteins that bind to components of mechanosenstive sodium channels and the extreme carboxy-terminal domain of dystrophin and dystrophin-related proteins. The PDZ domain of this protein product interacts with a protein component of a mechanosensitive sodium channel that affects channel gating. Absence or reduction of this protein product has been associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. There is evidence of alternative splicing yet the full-length nature of these variants has not been described.

Uniprot Description

SNTG2: Adapter protein that binds to and probably organizes the subcellular localization of a variety of proteins. May link various receptors to the actin cytoskeleton and the dystrophin glycoprotein complex. Belongs to the syntrophin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p25.3

Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; syntrophin complex; sarcolemma

Molecular Function: actin binding; PDZ domain binding

Biological Process: central nervous system development

Product Notes

The SNTG2 sntg2 (Catalog #AAA3217126) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SNTG2 Antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SNTG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNTG2 sntg2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: NVLWRFKFSQ LKGSSDDGKT RVKLLFQNLD TKQIETKELE FQDLRAVLHC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SNTG2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
