Rabbit anti-Human SMURF1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SMURF1 antibody
SMURF1 (E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase SMURF1, hSMURF1, SMAD Ubiquitination Regulatory Factor 1, KIAA1625, SMAD-specific E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase 1) (FITC)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis of SMURF1 expression in transfected 293T cell line by SMURF1 polyclonal antibody. Lane 1: SMURF1 transfected lysate (83.4kD). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
Testing Data
(Proximity Ligation Analysis (PLA) of protein-protein interactions between SMURF1 and ECSIT. HeLa cells were stained with SMURF1 rabbit purified polyclonal 1:1200 and ECSIT mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Signals were detected by 30 Detection Kit 613 (red), and nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a ubiquitin ligase that is specific for receptor-regulated SMAD proteins in the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) pathway. This protein plays a key roll in the regulation of cell motility, cell signalling, and cell polarity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Uniprot Description
SMURF1: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that acts as a negative regulator of BMP signaling pathway. Mediates ubiquitination and degradation of SMAD1 and SMAD5, 2 receptor-regulated SMADs specific for the BMP pathway. Promotes ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of TRAF family members and RHOA. Interacts with TRAF4. Interacts (via HECT domain) with FBXL15 (via LRR repeats). Interacts with SMAD7 and TGFBR1; SMAD7 recruits SMURF1 to TGFBR1 and regulates TGF-beta receptor degradation. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The SMURF1 smurf1 (Catalog #AAA6394523) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SMURF1 (E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase SMURF1, hSMURF1, SMAD Ubiquitination Regulatory Factor 1, KIAA1625, SMAD-specific E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase 1) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SMURF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SMURF1 smurf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SMURF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
