Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse SLC9A9 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SLC9A9 antibody
SLC9A9, CT (SLC9A9, NHE9, Sodium/hydrogen exchanger 9, Na(+)/H(+) exchanger 9, Solute carrier family 9 member 9)
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:100-500
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100
Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in mouse spleen tissue lysates (35ug/lane) using MBS648513. This demonstrates that MBS648513 detected SLC9A9 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human skeletal muscle using 047199 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS648513 for immunohistochemistry.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a sodium/proton exchanger that is a member of the solute carrier 9 protein family. The encoded protein localizes the to the late recycling endosomes and may play an important role in maintaining cation homeostasis. Mutations in this gene are associated with autism susceptibility 16 and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2012]
Uniprot Description
Function: May act in electroneutral exchange of protons for Na+ across membranes. Involved in the effusion of Golgi luminal H+ in exchange for cytosolic cations. Involved in organelle ion homeostasis by contributing to the maintenance of the unique acidic pH values of the Golgi and post-Golgi compartments in the cell. Ref.2
Subcellular location: Late endosome membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein Ref.2.
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitously expressed in all tissues tested. Expressed at highest levels in heart and skeletal muscle, followed by placenta, kidney, and liver. Expressed in the brain, in the medulla and spinal cord. Ref.1 Ref.2
Involvement in disease: A chromosomal aberration involving SLC9A9 has been found in a family with early-onset behavioral/developmental disorder with features of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and intellectual disability. Inversion inv3(p14:q21). The inversion disrupts DOCK3 and SLC9A9.Autism 16 (AUTS16) [MIM:613410]: A complex multifactorial, pervasive developmental disorder characterized by impairments in reciprocal social interaction and communication, restricted and stereotyped patterns of interests and activities, and the presence of developmental abnormalities by 3 years of age. Most individuals with autism also manifest moderate mental retardation. AUTS16 can be associated with epilepsy.Note: Disease susceptibility is associated with variations affecting the gene represented in this entry. Ref.8
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the monovalent cation:proton antiporter 1 (CPA1) transporter (TC 2.A.36) family. [View classification]
Sequence caution: The sequence BAC04005.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended.

The SLC9A9, CT (SLC9A9, NHE9, Sodium/hydrogen exchanger 9, Na(+)/H(+) exchanger 9, Solute carrier family 9 member 9) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SLC9A9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLC9A9 slc9a9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SLC9A9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
