Applicable Applications for anti-SHIP antibody
Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunoblot (IB)
Application Notes
IP: 2ug Reported to immunoprecipitate SHIP from Ramos cells (human B cell line).
IB: 0.5-2ug/ml Detects SHIP in RIPA lysates from human TF-1 cells (a bone marrow erythroleukemia cell line). TF-1 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with S1013-20A (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit IgG labeled with HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunogen
Fusion protein corresponding to aa7-133 of murine SHIP SH2 domain.
Note
Preservative Free
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Related Product Information for anti-SHIP antibody
In response to multiple cytokines and B and T cell receptor activation, the SH2 containing inositol 5' phosphatase, SHIP, becomes phosphorylated on tyrosine residues and associates with the tyrosine phosphorylated form of Shc. It may serve as a negative regulatory molecule under certain conditions, by preventing the activation of mast cells as well as B cell expansion, and by promoting apoptosis of confluent hemopoietic cells.

Product Notes

The SHIP (Catalog #AAA6499296) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SHIP (SH-2-containing Inositol 5' Phosphatase) (BSA & Azide Free) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SHIP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunoblot (IB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SHIP for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SHIP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
