Related Product Information for anti-SCNN1B antibody
The Epithelial Sodium Channel (ENaC) is a membrane ion channel permeable to Na+ ions. It is located in the apical plasma membrane of epithelia in the kidneys, lung, colon, and other tissues where it plays a role in transepithelial Na+-ion transport (1). Specifically Na+ transport via ENaC occurs across many epithelial surfaces, and plays a key role in regulating salt and water absorption (2). ENaCs are composed of three structurally related subunits that form a tetrameric channel, a, B, and y. The expression of its alpha and beta subunits is enhanced as keratinocytes differentiate (3, 4). The beta and gamma-ENaC subunits are essential for edema fluid to exert its maximal effect on net fluid absorption by distal lung epithelia(5). And it has been concluded that the subunits are differentially expressed in the retina of mice with ocular hypertension, therefore the up-regulation of alpha-sodium channel proteins could serve as a protection mechanism against elevated intraocular pressure (6).

Product Notes

The SCNN1B (Catalog #AAA620822) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SCNN1B (Sodium channel, nonvoltage-gated, type I, beta Amiloride-sensitive sodium channel subunit beta, Beta-ENaC, Beta-NaCH, Epithelial Na(+) channel subunit beta, Nonvoltage-gated sodium channel 1 subunit beta, SCNEB) reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SCNN1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SCNN1B for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SCNN1B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
