Related Product Information for anti-S35D1 antibody
Glycosylation of cellular glycoconjugates occurs in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and Golgi compartment, and requires transport of nucleotide sugars from the cytosol into the lumen of the ER and Golgi by specific transporters. The protein encoded by this gene resides in the ER, and transports both UDP-glucuronic acid (UDP-GlcA) and UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine (UDP-GalNAc) from the cytoplasm to the ER lumen. It may participate in glucuronidation and/or chondroitin sulfate biosynthesis.

NCBI Description

Mutations in this gene are associated with Schneckenbecken dysplasia.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

SLC35D1: Transports both UDP-glucuronic acid (UDP-GlcA) and UDP- N-acetylgalactosamine (UDP-GalNAc) from the cytoplasm to into the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. May participate in glucuronidation and/or chondroitin sulfate biosynthesis. Defects in SLC35D1 are a cause of Schneckenbecken dysplasia (SCHBCKD). Schneckenbecken dysplagia is a rare, autosomal recessive, lethal short-limbed skeletal dysplasia with platyspondylia. Belongs to the TPT transporter family. SLC35D subfamily.

Product Notes

The S35D1 slc35d1 (Catalog #AAA6344738) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The S35D1, CT (UDP-galactose transporter-related protein 7, UGTrel7, Solute carrier family 35 member D1, UDP-glucuronic acid/UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine transporter, UDP-GlcA/UDP-GalNAc transporter,UGTREL7, KIAA0260, SLC35D1) (MaxLight 405) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's S35D1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the S35D1 slc35d1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "S35D1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
