Related Product Information for anti-RNLS antibody
Renalase is a flavin adenine dinucleotide-dependent amine oxidase that is secreted into the blood from the kidney. Catalyzes the oxidation of the less abundant alpha-NAD (P)H isoform toform beta-NAD (P)+. The enzyme hormone is secreted by the kidney, and circulates in blood and modulates cardiac function and systemic blood pressure. Lowers blood pressure in vivo by decreasing cardiac contractility and heart rate and preventing a compensatory increase in peripheral vascular tone, suggesting a causal link to the increased plasma catecholamine and heightened cardiovascular risk.

Uniprot Description

RENALASE: Probable FAD-dependent amine oxidase secreted by the kidney, which circulates in blood and modulates cardiac function and systemic blood pressure. Degrades catecholamines such as dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine in vitro. Lowers blood pressure in vivo by decreasing cardiac contractility and heart rate and preventing a compensatory increase in peripheral vascular tone, suggesting a causal link to the increased plasma catecholamine and heightened cardiovascular risk. High concentrations of catecholamines activate plasma renalase and promotes its secretion and synthesis. According to PubMed:17385068, is unlikely that renalase has physiologically relevant catecholamine-oxidizing activity. Belongs to the renalase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Oxidoreductase; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; EC 1.6.3.5

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 10q23.31

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: oxidoreductase activity

Biological Process: heart contraction; regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure; epinephrine metabolic process; phosphate ion homeostasis; norepinephrine metabolic process; dopamine metabolic process

Product Notes

The RNLS rnls (Catalog #AAA9448305) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RNLS Conjugated Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RNLS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RNLS rnls for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RNLS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
