NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene represents the catalytic subunit of DNA polymerase zeta, which functions in translesion DNA synthesis. The encoded protein can be found in mitochondria, where it protects DNA from damage. Defects in this gene are a cause of Mobius syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]

Uniprot Description

REV3: the DNA polymerase zeta catalytic subunit. Catalyzes the production of N diphosphate + {DNA}N from N deoxynucleoside triphosphate. Involved in translesion synthesis and required for the production of UV- and other DNA fork-blocking-induced mutations, as well as the majority of spontaneous mutations.

Product Notes

The REV3L rev3l (Catalog #AAA8566682) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The REV3L Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's REV3L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the REV3L rev3l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "REV3L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
