Related Product Information for anti-RET antibody
The Ret protooncogene (cRet) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that functions as a multicompetent receptor complex in conjunction with other membranebound ligandbinding GDNF family receptors (1). Ligands that bind the Ret receptor include the glial cell linederived neurotropic factor (GDNF) and its congeners neurturin, persephin and artemin (24). Alterations in the corresponding Ret gene are associated with diseases including papillary thyroid carcinoma, multiple endocrine neoplasia (type 2A and 2B), familial medullary thyroid carcinoma and a congenital developmental disorder known as Hirschsprung's disease (1,3). The Tyr905 residue located in the Ret kinase domain plays a crucial role in Ret catalytic and biological activity. Substitution of Phe for Tyr905 dramatically inhibits Ret autophosphorylation activity (5).

Product Notes

The RET ret (Catalog #AAA126079) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ret Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, mouse, rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ret can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Western Blot (WB): 1:500-1: 2000 Immunohistochemistry (IHC): 1:50-1: 200 Immunocytochemistry (ICC): 1:50-1: 100 Immunoprecipitation (IP): 1:20-1: 50 Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS): 1:20-1: 50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RET ret for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ret, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
