Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence staining of PHB2 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human PHB2 polyclonal antibody (1:1000) at 4 degree C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm.)

Related Product Information for anti-PHB2 antibody
Prohibitin2 (PHB2) is a ubiquitous, evolutionarily strongly conserved protein. It is one of the components of the prohibitin complex, which comprises two highly homologous subunits, PHB1 and PHB2. Prohibitin 1 (PHB1) and prohibitin 2 (PHB2) are scaffold proteins that promote mitochondria homeostasis and consequently cell survival. PHB2 is a member of the SFPH trans-membrane family proteins and is present in various cellular compartments including the nucleus and mitochondria. Recent studies have identified PHB2 as a multifunctional protein that controls cell proliferation, apoptosis, cristae morphogenesis, and the functional integrity of mitochondria. PHB2 is an inner mitochondrial membrane protein that participates in parkin-induced mitophagy. PHB2 has multiple functions, such as transcriptional regulation and cell viability and development.

Product Notes

The PHB2 phb2 (Catalog #AAA8101071) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-REA/PHB2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human Predicted to React with: Mouse, Rat (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's REA/PHB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PHB2 phb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "REA/PHB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
