Related Product Information for anti-RASSF1 antibody
The Ras Association Domain Family Member 1 (RASSF1) gene, a putative tumor suppressor gene located on human chromosome 3p21, garners much attention for the frequent allelic loss and gene silencing via promoter hypermethylation in a variety of human malignancies. RASSF1 is a critical tumor suppressor that controls multiple aspects of cell proliferation such as cell cycle, cell division, and apoptosis. The expression of RASSF1 is lost in a variety of cancers due to the promoter hypermethylation. RASSF1 is one of the most frequently reported methylation-inactivated tumor suppressor genes in primary pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDAC). RASSF1 alterations occurring in PDAC mainly consist of variations of expression of the different isoforms. Different genetic mechanisms seem to contribute to RASSF1 deregulation in this setting, but RASSF1 methylation does not seem to substantially affect RASSF1 isoforms expression.

Product Notes

The RASSF1 (Catalog #AAA8108835) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-RASSF1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RASSF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200 ICC/IF: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RASSF1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RASSF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
