Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse Rad17 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-Rad17 antibody
Rad17 Rabbit pAb
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is highly similar to the gene product of Schizosaccharomyces pombe rad17, a cell cycle checkpoint gene required for cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair in response to DNA damage. This protein shares strong similarity with DNA replication factor C (RFC), and can form a complex with RFCs. This protein binds to chromatin prior to DNA damage and is phosphorylated by the checkpoint kinase ATR following damage. This protein recruits the RAD1-RAD9-HUS1 checkpoint protein complex onto chromatin after DNA damage, which may be required for its phosphorylation. The phosphorylation of this protein is required for the DNA-damage-induced cell cycle G2 arrest, and is thought to be a critical early event during checkpoint signaling in DNA-damaged cells. Eight alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene, which encode four distinct proteins, have been reported. Two pseudogenes, located on chromosomes 7 and 13, have been identified. Uniprot Description
RAD17: a cell cycle checkpoint gene required for cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair in response to DNA damage. Shares strong similarity with DNA replication factor C (RFC), and can form a complex with RFCs. Binds to chromatin prior to DNA damage and is phosphorylated by ATR after the damage. Phosphorylated and activated after DNA damage, inducing cell cycle G2 arrest. Eight alternatively spliced variants have been reported.

Product Notes
The Rad17 rad17 (Catalog #AAA4759006) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rad17 Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rad17 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rad17 rad17 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rad17, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
