Goat RAC2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-RAC2 antibody
Goat anti-RAC2 Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Tonsil, stains most cells in the mantle zone and interfollicular area. In the germinal centres the majority of cells are negative. Recommended concentration 0.3ug/ml. Data were obtained from a previous batch.
Western Blot: Approx 22kDa band observed in lysates of Human Thymus and Tonsil and of cell line MOLT4 (calculated MW of 21.4kDa according to NP_002863.1). Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3ug/ml.
Western Blot (WB)
((0.1ug/ml) staining of Human Thymus (A) and Tonsil (B) lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Western Blot (WB)
((0.3ug/ml) staining of MOLT4 cell lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
((0.3ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Tonsil. Microwaved antigen retrieval with Tris/EDTA buffer pH9, HRP-staining. A) Strong staining in the interfollicular area and mantle zone. B) Positive cells in the interfollicular area.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the Ras superfamily of small guanosine triphosphate (GTP)-metabolizing proteins. The encoded protein localizes to the plasma membrane, where it regulates diverse processes, such as secretion, phagocytosis, and cell polarization. Activity of this protein is also involved in the generation of reactive oxygen species. Mutations in this gene are associated with neutrophil immunodeficiency syndrome. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 6. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Uniprot Description
RAC2: Plasma membrane-associated small GTPase which cycles between an active GTP-bound and inactive GDP-bound state. In active state binds to a variety of effector proteins to regulate cellular responses, such as secretory processes, phagocytose of apoptotic cells and epithelial cell polarization. Augments the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by NADPH oxidase. Interacts with DOCK2, which may activate it. Hematopoietic specific. Regulated by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) which promote the exchange of bound GDP for free GTP, GTPase activating proteins (GAPs) which increase the GTP hydrolysis activity, and GDP dissociation inhibitors which inhibit the dissociation of the nucleotide from the GTPase. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Rho family.

The Goat anti-RAC2 Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RAC2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAC2 rac2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: PQPTRQQKRA CSLL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAC2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
