Related Product Information for anti-RAB1A antibody
Rab1A is a newly identified mTORC1 activator that mediates an alternative amino acid (AA) signaling branch to Rag GTPases. Rab1a is a member of the Rab family of small GTPases with a well-characterized function in the regulation of vesicle trafficking from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus and within Golgi compartments. RAB1A acts as an oncogene in various cancers, and emerging evidence has verified that RAB1A is a mTORC1 activator in hepatocellular and colorectal cancer. RAB1A acts as an oncogene by regulating cellular proliferation, growth, invasion, and metastasis via activation of the mTORC1 pathway in triple-negative breast cancer. RAB1A is an important small molecule in the mechanistic target of the rapamycin signaling pathway, which is one of the downstream signaling pathways of the epidermal growth factor receptor family.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Ras superfamily of GTPases. Members of the gene family cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound forms. This small GTPase controls vesicle traffic from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene which encode different protein isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The RAB1A rab1a (Catalog #AAA8103706) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-RAB1A Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human Predicted to React with: Pig (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RAB1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RAB1A rab1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAB1A, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
