NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: May be essential in the development and function of the eye.
Subcellular location: Nucleus
Probable.
Tissue specificity: Expressed most actively in the developing lens and midgut and at lower levels in the developing brain, heart, muscle and retina.
Developmental stage: First detected at stage 14 in the early lens placode. At later stages of development, it was observed throughout the lens, but it appeared more abundant around the bow region of the equator than in the anterior epithelium or the fibers. In the retina, expression was detected mainly in the inner nuclear layer during later stages of histogenesis.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the Prospero homeobox family.Contains 1 Prospero-type homeobox DNA-binding domain.

Product Notes
The PROX1 prox1 (Catalog #AAA644835) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PROX-1 (S514) (PROX1, Prospero homeobox protein 1, Homeobox prospero-like protein PROX1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PROX-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PROX1 prox1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PROX-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
