Related Product Information for anti-PPAT antibody
Phosphopantetheine adenylyltransferase (PPAT) is a rate-limiting enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of ATP and pantetheine to dephosphocoenzyme and pyrophosphate. The enzyme is allosteric and regulated by Coenzyme A (CoA) through feedback inhibition. PPAT is an essential enzyme in Coenzyme A biosynthesis that catalyzes the rate-limiting step in coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis by transferring an adenylyl group from ATP to 4'-phosphopantetheine (Ppant), yielding 3'-dephospho-CoA (dPCoA). PPAT catalyzes the first committed step of de novo purine biosynthesis. Hence PPAT, the key regulatory spot in De novo purine nucleotide biosynthesis, is an attractive and credible drug target for leukemia and other cancer therapeutics. Because bacterial PPAT and mammalian PPAT are dissimilar, this enzyme is an attractive antibacterial target.

Product Notes

The PPAT (Catalog #AAA8108105) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PPAT Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PPAT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IP: 1-5uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPAT for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PPAT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
