Rabbit anti-Human PON3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PON3 antibody
PON3, NT (Serum Paraoxonase/Lactonase 3) (Biotin)
ELISA: 1:1000
WB: 1:100-1:500
IHC-P: 1:50-1:100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of PON3 Antibody (N-term) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). PON3 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma with PON3 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells using PON3 Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the paraoxonase family and lies in a cluster on chromosome 7 with the other two family members. The encoded protein is secreted into the bloodstream and associates with high-density lipoprotein (HDL). The protein also rapidly hydrolyzes lactones and can inhibit the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), a function that is believed to slow the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, only one has been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
PON3: Has low activity towards the organophosphate paraxon and aromatic carboxylic acid esters. Rapidly hydrolyzes lactones such as statin prodrugs (e.g. lovastatin). Hydrolyzes aromatic lactones and 5- or 6-member ring lactones with aliphatic substituents but not simple lactones or those with polar substituents. Belongs to the paraoxonase family.

Product Notes
The PON3 pon3 (Catalog #AAA6491996) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PON3, NT (Serum Paraoxonase/Lactonase 3) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PON3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-1:50 ELISA: 1:1000 WB: 1:100-1:500 IHC-P: 1:50-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PON3 pon3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PON3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
