Preparation and Storage
Storage:
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4ºC for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20ºC for 24 months.

Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description

PAOX: Flavoenzyme which catalyzes the oxidation of N(1)- acetylspermine to spermidine and is thus involved in the polyamine back-conversion. Can also oxidize N(1)-acetylspermidine to putrescine. Substrate specificity: N(1)-acetylspermine = N(1)- acetylspermidine > N(1),N(12)-diacylspermine >> spermine. Does not oxidize spermidine. Plays an important role in the regulation of polyamine intracellular concentration and has the potential to act as a determinant of cellular sensitivity to the antitumor polyamine analogs. Belongs to the flavin monoamine oxidase family. 11 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 1.5.3.13; Oxidoreductase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 7|7 F4

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; peroxisomal matrix; peroxisome

Molecular Function: oxidoreductase activity; polyamine oxidase activity; receptor binding

Biological Process: polyamine catabolic process; putrescine biosynthetic process; putrescine catabolic process; spermidine catabolic process; spermine catabolic process

Product Notes

The PAOX paox (Catalog #AAA2026812) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Polyamine Oxidase (PAOX) reacts with Mus musculus (Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Polyamine Oxidase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western blotting: 0.5-2ug/mL I mmunohistochemistry: 5-20ug/mL I mmunocytochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAOX paox for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Polyamine Oxidase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
