Related Product Information for anti-PLEK antibody
Pleckstrin is a protein found in platelets. Pleckstrin is the source of the name pleckstrin homology domain. Pleckstrin homology domain (PH domain) is a protein domain of approximately 12 amino acids that occurs in a wide range of proteins involved in intracellular signaling or as constituents of the cytoskeleton. This domain can bind Phosphatidylinositol lipids within biological membranes (such as Phosphatidylinositol (3, 4, 5)-trisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol (4, 5)-bisphosphate), and proteins such as the betagamma-subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins, and protein kinase C. Through these interactions, PH domains play a role in recruiting proteins to different membranes, thus targeting them to appropriate cellular compartments or enabling them to interact with other components of the signal transduction pathways.

Product Notes

The PLEK (Catalog #AAA8108100) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Pleckstrin Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Pleckstrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLEK for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pleckstrin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
