Rabbit anti-Human PIK3R5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PIK3R5 antibody
PIK3R5, CT (PIK3R5, Phosphoinositide 3-kinase regulatory subunit 5, PI3-kinase p101 subunit, Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase regulatory subunit, Protein FOAP-2, PtdIns-3-kinase p101, p101-PI3K) (PE)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS642665. This demonstrates that MBS642665 detected the PIK3R5 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human tonsil tissue using MBS642665 followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS642665 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow Cytometric analysis of WiDr cells using MBS642665 (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinases (PI3Ks) phosphorylate the inositol ring of phosphatidylinositol at the 3-prime position, and play important roles in cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, motility, survival and intracellular trafficking. The PI3Ks are divided into three classes: I, II and III, and only the class I PI3Ks are involved in oncogenesis. This gene encodes the 101 kD regulatory subunit of the class I PI3K gamma complex, which is a dimeric enzyme, consisting of a 110 kD catalytic subunit gamma and a regulatory subunit of either 55, 87 or 101 kD. This protein recruits the catalytic subunit from the cytosol to the plasma membrane through high-affinity interaction with G-beta-gamma proteins. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been found. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Uniprot Description
PIK3R5: Regulatory subunit of the PI3K gamma complex. Heterodimer of a catalytic subunit (PIK3CG/p120) and a regulatory (PIK3R5a/p101) subunit. Interacts with G beta gamma proteins. Ubiquitously expressed with high expression in fetal brain compared to adult brain. Abundant expression is observed in cerebellum, cerebral cortex, cerebral meninges, and vermis cerebelli. Greatly activated by G gamma proteins. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The PIK3R5 pik3r5 (Catalog #AAA6334112) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PIK3R5, CT (PIK3R5, Phosphoinositide 3-kinase regulatory subunit 5, PI3-kinase p101 subunit, Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase regulatory subunit, Protein FOAP-2, PtdIns-3-kinase p101, p101-PI3K) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PIK3R5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIK3R5 pik3r5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIK3R5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
