Related Product Information for anti-PIK3C3 antibody
PI 3-kinase p100 (phosphoinositide-3-kinase p100 subunit), also known as hVps34 or PIK3C3 (phosphoinositide-3-kinase class III), is a member of the PI3/PI4-kinase family (1). It is a catalytic subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and ubiquitously expressed with a highest expression in skeletal muscle (1,2). PIK3C3 is involved in the endosome to lysosome transport and plays important roles in intracellular membrane trafficking and autophagy (3-5).

Uniprot Description

PIK3C3: Catalytic subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate which plays a key role in initiation and maturation of autophagosomes. Involved in the transport of lysosomal enzyme precursors to lysosomes. Required for the abcission step in cytokinesis. Required for transport from early to late endosomes. Heterodimer. This subunit, part of a complex composed of regulatory and catalytic subunits, associates with regulatory subunit PIK3R4. Forms a complex with BECN1, PIK3R4 and either UVRAG and KIAA0226/Rubicon, or with ATG14. In this complex, presence of UVRAG and ATG14 are mutually exclusive. Part of a complex composed of PIK3R4 and PIK3CB. Interacts with RAB7A in the presence of PIK3R4. Ubiquitously expressed, with a highest expression in skeletal muscle. Belongs to the PI3/PI4-kinase family.

Product Notes

The PIK3C3 pik3c3 (Catalog #AAA153658) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PIK3C3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PIK3C3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). PIK3C3 antibody can be used for detection of PIK3C3 by Western blot at 1 - 2 mug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIK3C3 pik3c3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIK3C3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
