Rabbit PHOSPHOSERINE Polyclonal Antibody

RABBIT ANTI PHOSPHOSERINE

Applications
ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot
Synonyms
PHOSPHOSERINE; Polyclonal Antibody; RABBIT ANTI PHOSPHOSERINE; anti-PHOSPHOSERINE antibody
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Host
Rabbit
Clonality
Polyclonal
Isotype
IgG
Specificity
This item recognises phosphoserine, peptidyl-phosphoserine, and serine-phosphorylated proteins. Does not cross react with ATP, phosphotyrosine, peptidyl phosphothreonine and serine. Slight cross reactivity with free phosphothreonine is observed. Phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of intracellular proteins occurs in response to extracellular signals. In certain disease states such as cancer, abnormal protein phosphorylation can occur.
Form/Format
Purified
Purified IgG - liquid
Concentration
IgG concentration 0.25 mg/ml (varies by lot)
Applicable Applications for anti-PHOSPHOSERINE antibody
ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)*
Application Notes
ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 1/1000; Maximum Dilution: 1/2000;
Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1/500; Application Note: For the detection of phosphoproteins, serine phosphatase inhibitors such as 10mM Sodium Fluoride should be added to the sample buffer. Milk or other casein-based blocking solutions are not recommended as casein is a phosphoprotein and its use can result in high background.
Perservative Stabilisers
50% Glycerol
Immunogen
Keyhole Limpet Haemocyanin - phosphoserine conjugates
Buffer Solution
Antiserum Preparation
Antiserum to phosphoserine was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C only. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of despatch.

Product Notes

The PHOSPHOSERINE (Catalog #AAA222020) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PHOSPHOSERINE can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB)*. ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 1/1000; Maximum Dilution: 1/2000; Western Blotting: Maximum Dilution: 1/500; Application Note: For the detection of phosphoproteins, serine phosphatase inhibitors such as 10mM Sodium Fluoride should be added to the sample buffer. Milk or other casein-based blocking solutions are not recommended as casein is a phosphoprotein and its use can result in high background. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PHOSPHOSERINE for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PHOSPHOSERINE, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
