Rabbit anti-Human Phospho-KDR/FLK1 (Y996) Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KDR antibody
Phospho-KDR/FLK1 (Y996) Antibody
Western Blot (WB)
(Anti-Phospho-KDR/FLK1-Y996 Pab is used in Western blot to detect Phospho-KDR/FLK1-Y996 in HMVEC cell line lysate.Endothelial cells were stimulated with 50ug/ml VEGF for 5min; 20ug lysate from HMVEC was loaded onto an 8% gel; for Western blot, membranes were incubated O/N with Phospho-KDR/FLK1-Y996 Antibody (MBS9201035)diluted to 1:500 in 1% Milk/TBST.Data and Protocol kindly provided by Dr. Weis from Cheresh Lab, UCSD.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc.. Mutations of this gene are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]
Uniprot Description
VEGFR2: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the VEGFR family. High affinity receptor for VEGF and VEGF-C. Ligand binding induces autophosphorylation and activation. Activated receptor recruits proteins including Shc, GRB2, PI3K, Nck, SHP-1 and SHP-2. Plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability.

Product Notes
The KDR kdr (Catalog #AAA9201035) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-KDR/FLK1 (Y996) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Phospho-KDR/FLK1 (Y996) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KDR kdr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phospho-KDR/FLK1 (Y996), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
