NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc.. Mutations of this gene are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]
Uniprot Description
VEGFR2: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the VEGFR family. High affinity receptor for VEGF and VEGF-C. Ligand binding induces autophosphorylation and activation. Activated receptor recruits proteins including Shc, GRB2, PI3K, Nck, SHP-1 and SHP-2. Plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability.

Product Notes
The KDR kdr (Catalog #AAA556391) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KDR (Kinase Insert Domain Receptor) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KDR (Kinase Insert Domain Receptor) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC: 5-10ug/ml IF: 5-15ug/ml WB: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KDR kdr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KDR (Kinase Insert Domain Receptor), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
