Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
Related Product Information for anti-Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone antibody
Human bone alkaline phosphatase is a membrance-bound hydrolase enzyme expressed by osteoblast cells. Alkaline phosphatase (AP) is a ubiquitously expressed enzyme which removes phosphate groups from target molecules, including DNA, RNA and alkaloids, under alkaline conditions, and is present at higher concentrations in the placenta (placental AP), intestines (intestinal AP) and liver/bone/kidney (tissue non-specific AP). Although the exact biochemical function of BAP is uncertain, measurement of the serum levels of BAP can be used as a biochemical indicator of bone turnover. Conditions which present with a decrease in the level of BAP (hypophosphatasemia) include the inherited bone-deforming disorder hypophosphatasia and osteoporosis, whilst an increase in BAP (hyperphosphatasemia) is associated with Paget's disease, bone fractures and osteosarcomas.

Product Notes

The Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone (Catalog #AAA630807) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phosphatase, Alkaline, Human, Bone (BAP) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phosphatase, Alkaline, Bone, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
