Preparation and Storage
Storage:
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 24 months.

Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the biopterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylase protein family. The encoded phenylalanine hydroxylase enzyme hydroxylates phenylalanine to tyrosine and is the rate-limiting step in phenylalanine catabolism. Deficiency of this enzyme activity results in the autosomal recessive disorder phenylketonuria. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]

Uniprot Description

PAH: phenylalanine hydroxylase that is the rate-limiting step in phenylalanine catabolism. Belongs to the biopterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylase family. Deficiency of this enzyme activity results in the autosomal recessive disorder phenylketonuria.

Protein type: Amino Acid Metabolism - phenylalanine, tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis; EC 1.14.16.1; Oxidoreductase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q23.2

Product Notes

The PAH pah (Catalog #AAA2004517) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Phenylalanine Hydroxylase (PAH) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Phenylalanine Hydroxylase (PAH) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). . Western blotting: 0.5-2ug/mL Immunohistochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Immunocytochemistry: 5-20ug/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAH pah for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phenylalanine Hydroxylase (PAH), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
