For Research Use Only!
Host
Rabbit
Clonality
Polyclonal
Specificity
PHAP (CT) [Rabbit polyclonal antibody to PHAP (CT)]
This antibody recognizes human, mouse and rat PHAP I and PHAP III. The PHAP proteins (tumor suppressor putative HLA-DR associated proteins) are important regulators of mitochondrial apoptosis. PHAP facilitates apoptosome-mediated caspase-9 activation to stimulate the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. In addition, PHAP opposes both Ras- and myc- mediated cell transformation.
Form/Format
100 ug IgG in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Sequence Length
174
Applicable Applications for anti-phaP antibody
Western Blot
Application Notes
Western Blot: Use at 0.5-2 ug/ml. Using Raji cell lysate as a positive control, a band of approximately 35 kD is detected corresponding to PHAP III, and 32 kD corresponding to PHAP I.
Antigen
A synthetic peptide at the carboxy terminus of human PHAP.
Stabilizer
None
Preservatives
0.02% sodium azide
Dilutions Instructions
Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

Product Notes

The PHAP (CT) phap (Catalog #AAA194325) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PHAP (CT) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot. Western Blot: Use at 0.5-2 ug/ml. Using Raji cell lysate as a positive control, a band of approximately 35 kD is detected corresponding to PHAP III, and 32 kD corresponding to PHAP I. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PHAP (CT) phap for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PHAP (CT), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
