NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the histone deacetylase family, members of which deacetylate lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones. Histone deacetylation modulates chromatin structure, and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
Uniprot Description
HDAC10: Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. Belongs to the histone deacetylase family. HD type 2 subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The HDAC10 hdac10 (Catalog #
AAA8572541) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Pan Acetyl-Lysine pAb reacts with All and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Pan Acetyl-Lysine can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IP: 1:20-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HDAC10 hdac10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Pan Acetyl-Lysine, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
