Related Product Information for anti-HDAC10 antibody
There are 11 members in the HDAC family that are divided into four classes. Class I HDACs represent homologs of the yeast histone deacetylase Rpd3, class II HDACs share strong homology with the yeast histone deacetylase Hda1, class III HDACs are closely related to the yeast Sir2 protein and class IV HDACs comprise histone deacetylase 11 (HDAC11)-related enzymes. HDAC10, also known as HD10, is a member of the class II HDACs. It contains an N-terminal Hda1p-related catalytic domain and a unique C-terminal leucine-rich domain. HDAC10 is ubiquitously expressed and can shuttle between the cytoplasm and nucleus in response to celllular signals.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the histone deacetylase family, members of which deacetylate lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones. Histone deacetylation modulates chromatin structure, and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Uniprot Description

HDAC10: Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes. Belongs to the histone deacetylase family. HD type 2 subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The HDAC10 hdac10 (Catalog #AAA3000578) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HDAC 10 (E24) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's HDAC 10 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HDAC10 hdac10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "HDAC 10, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
