Rabbit anti-Human PAK6 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-PAK6 antibody
PAK6 Antibody (Center)
Western Blot (WB)
(PAK6 Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the PAK6 antibody detected the PAK6 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(PAK6 Antibody (Center) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of PAK6 Antibody (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of PAK6 Antibody (Center) with U-251MG cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
(PAK) family. The proteins of this family are Rac/Cdc42-associated
Ste20-like Ser/Thr protein kinases, characterized by a highly
conserved amino-terminal Cdc42/Rac interactive binding (CRIB)
domain and a carboxyl-terminal kinase domain. PAK kinases are
implicated in the regulation of a number of cellular processes,
including cytoskeleton rearrangement, apoptosis and the MAP kinase
signaling pathway. The protein encoded by this gene was found to
interact with androgen receptor (AR), which is a steroid
hormone-dependent transcription factor that is important for male
sexual differentiation and development. This gene was found to be
highly expressed in testis and prostate tissues and the encoded
protein was shown to cotranslocate into the nucleus with AR in
response to androgen. Alternatively spliced transcript variants
encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a family of p21-stimulated serine/threonine protein kinases, which contain an amino-terminal Cdc42/Rac interactive binding (CRIB) domain and a carboxyl-terminal kinase domain. These kinases function in a number of cellular processes, including cytoskeleton rearrangement, apoptosis, and the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling pathway. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with androgen receptor (AR) and translocates to the nucleus, where it is involved in transcriptional regulation. Changes in expression of this gene have been linked to prostate cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]

Product Notes
The PAK6 pak6 (Catalog #AAA9209457) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 268-297. The PAK6 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PAK6 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAK6 pak6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PAK6, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
