ELISA: 1:1,000
IP: 1:100
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-PAK5 Pab in lysates from transiently transfected COS7 cells. Lane 1: negative control, Lane 2: PAK1-expressing cells, Lane 3: PAK2-expressing cells, Lane 4: PAK4-expressing cells, Lane 5: PAK5-expressing cells, and Lane 6: PAK6-expressing cells. PAK5 (arrow) was detected using purified Pab. Data is kindly provided by Drs. Z.M. Jaffer and J. Chernoff from the Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, PA).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with PAK5 antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the PAK family of Ser/Thr protein kinases. PAK family members are known to be effectors of Rac/Cdc42 GTPases, which have been implicated in the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics, proliferation, and cell survival signaling. This kinase contains a CDC42/Rac1 interactive binding (CRIB) motif, and has been shown to bind CDC42 in the presence of GTP. This kinase is predominantly expressed in brain. It is capable of promoting neurite outgrowth, and thus may play a role in neurite development. This kinase is associated with microtubule networks and induces microtubule stabilization. The subcellular localization of this kinase is tightly regulated during cell cycle progression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described. Uniprot Description
PAK5: a protein kinase of the STE20 family. Predominantly expressed in brain. Capable of promoting neurite outgrowth, and thus may play a role in neurite development. Associated with microtubule networks and induces microtubule stabilization. Its subcellular localization is tightly regulated during cell cycle progression.

Product Notes
The PAK5 pak7 (Catalog #AAA6491856) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PAK5 (p21 Activated Kinase 5, p21-activated Kinase 5, PAK5, PAK-5, KIAA1264, MGC26232, p21(CDKN1A)-activated Kinase 7, p21-activated Kinase 7, PAK7, PAK-7, Protein Kinase PAK5, Serine/threonine-protein Kinase PAK 7) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PAK5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-1:50 ELISA: 1:1,000 IP: 1:100 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAK5 pak7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PAK5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
