Rabbit p67 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-STXBP1 antibody
Anti-p67 Antibody
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of p67 expression in Jurkat (A), Hela (B), human brain (C) whole cell lysates.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemical analysis of p67 staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Immunofluorescent analysis of p67 staining in Jurkat cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a syntaxin-binding protein. The encoded protein appears to play a role in release of neurotransmitters via regulation of syntaxin, a transmembrane attachment protein receptor. Mutations in this gene have been associated with infantile epileptic encephalopathy-4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Uniprot Description
STXBP1: may participate in the regulation of synaptic vesicle docking and fusion, possibly through interaction with GTP-binding proteins. Essential for neurotransmission and binds syntaxin, a component of the synaptic vesicle fusion machinery probably in a 1:1 ratio. Can interact with syntaxins 1, 2, and 3 but not syntaxin 4. May play a role in determining the specificity of intracellular fusion reactions. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The STXBP1 stxbp1 (Catalog #AAA8242381) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-p67 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's p67 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Western Blot: (1/500 - 1/1000); Immunohistochemistry: (1/100 - 1/200); Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry: (1/100 - 1/500). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STXBP1 stxbp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "p67, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
