Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse OTX2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-OTX2 antibody
OTX2 (Homeobox Protein OTX2, Orthodenticle Homolog 2, CPHD6, MCOPS5) (AP)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the bicoid subfamily of homeodomain-containing transcription factors. The encoded protein acts as a transcription factor and plays a role in brain, craniofacial, and sensory organ development. The encoded protein also influences the proliferation and differentiation of dopaminergic neuronal progenitor cells during mitosis. Mutations in this gene cause syndromic microphthalmia 5 (MCOPS5) and combined pituitary hormone deficiency 6 (CPHD6). This gene is also suspected of having an oncogenic role in medulloblastoma. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Pseudogenes of this gene are known to exist on chromosomes two and nine. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Uniprot Description

Product Notes
The OTX2 otx2 (Catalog #AAA6430225) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The OTX2 (Homeobox Protein OTX2, Orthodenticle Homolog 2, CPHD6, MCOPS5) (AP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's OTX2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OTX2 otx2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OTX2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
