Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse OAZ1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-OAZ1 antibody
OAZ1, NT (Ornithine Decarboxylase Antizyme 1, ODC-Az, OAZ, AZI, MGC138338)
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of OAZ1 Antibody (N-term) in mouse heart tissue lysates (35ug/lane). OAZ1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded mouse heart tissue reacted with OAZ1 Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Ornithine decarboxylase catalyzes the conversion of ornithine to putrescine in the first and apparently rate-limiting step in polyamine biosynthesis. The ornithine decarboxylase antizymes play a role in the regulation of polyamine synthesis by binding to and inhibiting ornithine decarboxylase. Antizyme expression is auto-regulated by polyamine-enhanced translational frameshifting. The antizyme encoded by this gene inhibits ornithine decarboxylase and accelerates its degradation. [provided by RefSeq]
Uniprot Description
OAZ1: Binds to, and destabilizes, ornithine decarboxylase which is then degraded. Also inhibits cellular uptake of polyamines by inactivating the polyamine uptake transporter. SMAD1/OAZ1/PSMB4 complex mediates the degradation of the CREBBP/EP300 repressor SNIP1. Belongs to the ODC antizyme family. 1 isoforms of the human protein are produced by ribosomal frameshifting.
Protein type: Inhibitor
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.3
Cellular Component: cytosol
Molecular Function: protein binding; ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor activity
Biological Process: transport; polyamine biosynthetic process; negative regulation of catalytic activity; positive regulation of protein catabolic process; regulation of amino acid metabolic process

Product Notes
The OAZ1 oaz1 (Catalog #AAA629823) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The OAZ1, NT (Ornithine Decarboxylase Antizyme 1, ODC-Az, OAZ, AZI, MGC138338) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's OAZ1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the OAZ1 oaz1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "OAZ1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
