NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the nucleoporin family that shares 87% sequence identity with rat nucleoporin p58. The protein is localized to the nuclear rim and is a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). All molecules entering or leaving the nucleus either diffuse through or are actively transported by the NPC. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

NUPL1: a nuclear pore protein. Component of the p62 complex which includes NUP62, NUP54, and NUPL1. Interacts with NUTF2, and with KPNA2 and KPNB1 proteins when they are together, but not with KPNA2 alone. Located in the central region of the nuclear pore complex, biased towards thecytoplasmic side. Contains FG repeats. Three isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The NUPL1 nup58 (Catalog #AAA7002741) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NUPL1 Antibody reacts with Human, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NUPL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Recommended dilution: WB:1:500-2000, IHC:1:20-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NUPL1 nup58 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NUPL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
