Related Product Information for anti-NXN antibody
Nucleoredoxin (NRX; also known as NXN and Red-1) is a 51-55kD member of the thioredoxin (TXR) family of proteins. It is widely expressed, and exists in both the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells where it regulates two pathways. In the nucleus, NRX may act as a transcription factor in the Wnt-pathway; a stable (reduced) NRX binds to DVL, thereby blocking downstream Wnt/ -catenin signaling. It also binds to PP2A subunits PP2A C and PP2A A, generating an active PP2A complex. Human NRX is 435 amino acids (aa) in length and contains a TXR domain (aa 167-321) that shows a WCPPC catalytic site, and a substrate recognition PDI-b' region (aa 312-427). There are three potential isoform variants. Over amino acids 131-435, human NRX shares 99% aa identity with mouse NRX.

Uniprot Description

NXN: Functions as a redox-dependent negative regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway, possibly by preventing ubiquitination of DVL3 by the BCR(KLHL12) complex. May also function as a transcriptional regulator act as a regulator of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). Belongs to the nucleoredoxin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 1.8.1.8; Oxidoreductase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17p13.3

Cellular Component: nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein-disulfide reductase activity; thioredoxin-disulfide reductase activity

Biological Process: negative regulation of Wnt receptor signaling pathway; Wnt receptor signaling pathway; negative regulation of protein ubiquitination; cell differentiation

Product Notes

The NXN nxn (Catalog #AAA620834) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Nucleoredoxin (NXN, FLJ12614, NRX, TRG-4, Red-1) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Nucleoredoxin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NXN nxn for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nucleoredoxin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
