The combination of silencing ENO2 and 2-deoxyglucose (2-DG) synergistically inhibited leukemia cell survival. ENO2 may be a biological marker for monitoring chemotherapeutic efficacy and relapse in ALL. Reduced ENO2 expression may be a biomarker for a subset of autistic children. Neuron specific enolase (ENO2, gamma-enolase) has been used as a biomarker to help identify neuroendocrine differentiation in breast cancer.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme, a homodimer, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. A switch from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The ENO2 eno2 (Catalog #AAA8106848) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NSE/ENO2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NSE/ENO2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunoprecipitation (IP). IHC-P: 1:10,000-1:20,000 IP: 1-4uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ENO2 eno2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NSE/ENO2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
