Uniprot Description

NF1: a Ras-GAP, highly expressed in developing neural cells. Possesses tumor suppressor activity, presumably by virtue of its GTPase activating domain. Neurofibromin is phosphorylated in response to EGF in CNS cells and cell lines. Defects in NF1 are the cause of type 1 neurofibromatosis (NF1), Watson syndrome, and familial spinal neurofibromatosis. NF1 is one of the most frequent autosomal dominant diseases. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The NF1 nf1 (Catalog #AAA4754976) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NF1 Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). WB: 1:200-1:1000 IHC: 1:20-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NF1 nf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
