Related Product Information for anti-NEUROG2 antibody
The proneural protein Neurogenin 2 (NEUROG2) is a transcription factor of importance for the differentiation and survival of midbrain dopaminergic neurons. NEUROG2 is a pioneer factor, FD enhances chromatin accessibility and H3K27 acetylation, and synergistic transcription activated by these factors is essential to successful reprogramming. CREB1 promotes neuron survival and acts with NEUROG2 to upregulate SOX4, which co-activates NEUROD1 and NEUROD4.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a neural-specific basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that can specify a neuronal fate on ectodermal cells and is expressed in neural progenitor cells within the developing central and peripheral nervous systems. The protein product of this gene also plays a role in the differentiation and survival of midbrain dopaminergic neurons. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]

Product Notes

The NEUROG2 neurog2 (Catalog #AAA8101128) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Neurogenin-2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Neurogenin-2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:200-1:1000 IP: 4-8uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NEUROG2 neurog2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neurogenin-2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
