Uniprot Description

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfers the ubiquitin to targeted substrates. Specifically ubiquitinates 'Lys-63' in target proteins (PubMed:23644597). Involved in the pathway leading to the degradation of VEGFR-2/KDFR, independently of its ubiquitin-ligase activity. Monoubiquitinates IGF1R at multiple sites, thus leading to receptor internalization and degradation in lysosomes. Ubiquitinates FGFR1, leading to receptor internalization and degradation in lysosomes. Promotes ubiquitination of RAPGEF2. According to PubMed:18562292 the direct link between NEDD4 and PTEN regulation through polyubiquitination described in PubMed:17218260 is questionable. Involved in ubiquitination of ERBB4 intracellular domain E4ICD. Involved in the budding of many viruses. Part of a signaling complex composed of NEDD4, RAP2A and TNIK which regulates neuronal dendrite extension and arborization during development. Ubiquitinates TNK2 and regulates EGF-induced degradation of EGFR and TNF2. Involved in the ubiquitination of ebola virus VP40 protein and this ubiquitination plays a role in facilitating viral budding. Ubiquitinates BRAT1 and this ubiquitination is enhanced in the presence of NDFIP1 (PubMed:25631046).

Product Notes

The Nedd4 nedd4 (Catalog #AAA6489547) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Nedd4, WW2 domain (MaxLight 650) reacts with Rat, Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Nedd4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). IHC: Reported to detect Nedd4 in mouse kidney, lung and distal colon sections. Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. WB: 1:10,000 detects Nedd4, WW2 domain on 10ug of mouse kidney cytosol. Mouse kidney cytosol lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Nedd4 nedd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nedd4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
